• 6 spoonfuls of honey.
  • 250 gr. of almonds.
  • 50 gr. of walnuts.
  • 250 gr. of gofio (mix).
  • Grated lemon rind.
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
  • 2 spoonfuls of butter.


The first thing to do is to bring water to boil. Once it is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the almonds for 5 minutes in order to soften the skin and remove it easily.
Drain off the water and take the skin off. Let it cool and crush it with the walnuts. Set it aside. Knead a bit the butter with your hands to soften it and pour it in a bowl.
Add the honey, the cinnamon, the grated lemon rind, and finally the nuts.
Mix it until you fully incorporate all the ingredients. Once you have it all mixed, add the gofio little by little.
Pour the mixtures on a covered surface with a little bit of gofio and continue to knead it until you obtain a solid mass.
Roll it and wrap it in tinfoil, pull it tight for it to be shapely and put it in the refrigerator for it to harden.
After a few hours, take it out and cut it in slices of 1cm thick.
You can serve it with vanilla ice cream or with a dash of honey.
